PATNA: The Patna high court on Thursday directed the state government to provide 25 acres of land to entrepreneurs in Fatuha industrial area for shifting of plastic industries from different localities in Patna City.
A division bench comprising Justice Shiva Kirti Singh and Justice Gopal Prasad directed the government to take measures so that within six months the plastic industries are shifted to Fatuha industrial area.
The order was passed during the hearing of a PIL of a resident of Patna City, Sunil Kumar Rathi, seeking removal of the plastic units from different localities in Patna City as they were causing environment pollution. He added that the plastic units were serious health hazard and needed to be shifted from residential areas.
